After returning from a late vacation, the fall foliage has arrived in Pyeongchang. Since our annex has a gable roof, warm air stays on the ceiling in the winter, so I'm thinking of installing a ceiling fan. The original plan was to drill a hole in the interior beam. So I thought I had to make it sturdy, but when I actually put up the beam, it became a focal point of the annex and it was so pretty that I decided to just leave it. So I'm thinking of moving the ceiling fan to the top of the ceiling, but the ceiling top is a triangle. The installation guide said that it could have a slight slope, but it had to be able to withstand more than 30 kg, so I made a two-by-four bracket and fixed it more sturdy than the standard. Then, I filled the corners where the insulation couldn't go with urethane foam, and after it hardened, I cut it with a cutter knife. Professionals usually use a one-inch angle called daruki, but we used one-inch-two-chi lumber for an easier and sturdier construction. One-inch angles are sold in bundles of 12 per level and one-inch-two-chi in bundles of 6. Since we had to buy about 2 more levels, it cost about 60,000 won more in materials. One-inch angles are 28,500 won per level and one-inch-two-chi are 32,500 won. When doing the ceiling work, you have to consider the ceiling finishing material. Here's the deal: We're planning to use gypsum board. The general size of gypsum board is 900*1800. Consider whether you want to install it horizontally or vertically and decide the direction of the board. Since we're going to hang it vertically, you can do the board work vertically, and you can choose between 300mm or 450mm. The 300mm spacing is once at each end and twice in the middle, making it a total of 4 lines, so it is sturdier than the 450mm spacing. Considering the distance between the boards, we gave a margin of 2mm and spaced them 902mm apart. Please check the video for more details!
