Ceahlău National Park is a protected area of national interest, located in the north-east of Romania in the territory of Neamț county. It represents a mountain area that extends over an area of 7742.5 ha, representing 26.7% of the area of the massif of the same name, with a great diversity of relief, with forests, meadows and meadows. The park houses and conserves a significant number of montane habitats that are home to a rich and diverse flora and fauna. The entire Ceahlău Massif, with an area of 27,837 ha, including the National Park, is an avifaunistic protection area, as an integral part of the European Natura 2000 ecological network in Romania.
