Opened the season of big water, or rather big ice. Opened in the glorious city of Yuryevets for zander. We went on Monday because there was a free day, but there were unexpectedly many fishermen for a weekday. As always, the weather forecasters deceived us, the wind was not weak in the morning, but the ice was strong, the mood was great and we walked at a brisk trot to our zander spot )). The zander was in place, the echo sounder showed rises, but it refused to bite. We decided that the zander was passive today and it should be caught with passive gear. We set the traps at the depth where there were rises and continued to torture this cunning fish. We tried fishing with a chain and without a chain. It seems like there were more bites with a chain. After lunch, confident bites of zander began, and in all the holes. The happiness did not last long, only a couple of hours, but we got the maximum pleasure. I tested a new reel from Ali. At first I really liked it, it was light, convenient, and casts the lure well. But as the ice formed, the reel began to malfunction, throw off loops and cast the lure poorly. In the end, I had to cast the line by hand, but lifting the fish with the reel was a pleasure. 100% implementation. In general, the opening of the big ice went great, which we wish for everyone!
