Today I will share my experience of making clamps. This is exactly the type of tool that is always in short supply, and you need many different types and sizes. The experience of use is quite extensive, and in this video we will make clamps for gluing furniture boards. The rigidity of the clamp and good pressure are important here. The material for manufacturing will be used: Profiled pipe 20 * 40 * 3 Sheet steel 4 mm, (laser cutting was ordered) Screw with trapezoidal thread D18 mm. (ordered from a turner) No semi-finished products on the knees, on my part, the idea is to prepare pipe bases, with welding all the elements into a single structure. The cost price of one clamp, at the finish, cost me 1700 rubles. Which is quite acceptable and comparable to pipe clamps at the bottom of the market. In terms of rigidity and ease of use, everything is excellent. As for reliability, I can only say after long-term use, or not long if everything is really bad. We will also try a new method of processing metal and protecting it from oxidation. We will make shelves for storing new ones, and remake the storage places for old clamps. P.S.// This project took 8 full working days, so it is not easy and not simple. 00:00 Why so many clamps 00:42 Base for homemade clamps 02:20 Clamp components 04:07 Assembling a clamp with your own hands 05:26 Chemical etching of metal 07:06 About metal processing at home 09:16 Laminating plywood with ash 12:16 A little about jambs 12:56 DIY shelf for clamps 14:56 Installing screws and stops 15:24 My clamps for carpentry 18:37 Organizing storage of clamps 22:22 How difficult is it to do carpentry #DIY #myworkshop #project500
