Relaxing steel drum music and natural sounds Sounds of the sea for body, mind and soul. Steel drum sounds have a very calming effect. Each steel drum instrument is unique. Crystal clear sounds of the instrument, unique resonances and overtones create a relaxing and calming atmosphere. Steel drum music is well suited for meditation, yoga or simply for relaxation or as background music. The steel drum is a wonderful instrument that comes from Trinidad. There the steel drum is often played in the orchestra. An old oil drum is traditionally used as a resonance body, the bottom of which is driven inwards in a curve. Then up to 32 sound fields are worked in, which can be made to sound with mallets. This creates wonderful, bell-like and reverberating soundscapes.
