In today's video we look at what telescope sums are and how to calculate them. Telescope sums are series in which all summands cancel out except for a small finite number. In most cases the first and last summand remain, hence the name telescope sum. The best way to calculate such telescope sums is to write down a few summands and see what happens, or you can use the formula that we found in this video when solving a simple example!
