Mitrokhin imitates an assassination attempt on the leader of the people, Comrade Stalin, and receives a sentence - a quarter of a century in the highest-security camp - the Karelian "Lazo". In the barracks, he finally meets his friend and utters one single phrase: "And I'm behind you, battalion commander." No one has ever managed to escape from "Lazo". On the northern side of the camp is a lake, on the south - a piece of land surrounded by barbed wire. At first glance, the idea of escaping seems crazy, but it turns out that before the war, Alexey studied at the Hydrotechnical Institute and did his internship in the very place where the concentration camp is now located.
