The team of archaeologists led by Eduardo Neves returns to the Teotônio site, near Porto Velho (RO): traces of black earth dating back 5,500 years were found at this site. This is the oldest black earth found in the Amazon, a record left by the sedentary populations that lived there. The ceramics excavated at the site suggest great cultural diversity with at least seven different indigenous peoples over the millennia.
