Trains need to be sorted and separated by destination at Soga Station, but the wiring has both grade separation and at-grade intersections. Particularly troublesome is that the Sotobo Line up and the Uchibo Line down cross at-grade. During rush hour, the number of trains increases, and the timetable is cleverly arranged so that trains that are in the way of the crossing do not collide.
