The weather year 2024 was characterized by a lot of precipitation, high humidity, but at the same time temperatures at record levels. In terms of the number and strength of the thunderstorms, the 2024 season can be classified roughly in the middle range. In total, I was able to record 24 thunderstorm documentaries. Considering my location alone, that's a considerable number, although it must be said that most of the cells weakened before me or didn't even reach me. The classic glancing shots were there as always. The many ground lightning and general lightning discharges that I was able to record this year stand out in particular. In addition, in contrast to the last two years, the thunderstorms brought decent amounts of precipitation. There is no real highlight of the season, however, nor is there a real storm. The most likely date to be mentioned is July 16th, with over 2500 lightning strikes and 50 l/m² while there was a continuous thunderstorm for almost two hours. Taking all factors into account, the following ranking of thunderstorm activity per year results: 1st place: 2021 2nd place: 2023 3rd place: 2018 4th place: 2017 5th place: 2024 6th place: 2016 7th place: 2015 8th place: 2022 9th place: 2020 10th place: 2019
