Always along the ridge: Beautiful hike over three peaks in Lenzerheide in Switzerland. This tour is doable for (almost) everyone. Have you ever been to Graubünden? If so, what did you do here? Have you also been hiking? Which tour can you recommend? Feel free to write us your experiences in the comments. We start in Churwalden. From the hotel we already have a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. The day before we had already looked around a bit and visited the Parpaner Rothorn. At almost 3,000 meters high, the peak is one of the highest in the region. Here you can take the cable car up in a relaxed manner and the panorama is gigantic. Today we are going hiking on the other side of Lenzerheide. A ridge hike with great views awaits us. And this tour can also be reached by cable car. This means that the hike over the narrow ridge with its 560 meters in altitude is doable for almost everyone. The start is in Lenzerheide. We first float towards the clouds on the chairlift in two sections. At the top of the first peak, Piz Scalottas, we are suddenly in the middle of the clouds. Until the sky clears, we warm ourselves up again briefly in a hut and I enjoy a hot chai tea with milk. As soon as I have finished drinking, the view improves. We can get going. We hike downhill to the rustic June hut. It is picturesquely located right on the path and looks really inviting. A few chickens are pecking in front of it. And suddenly a fox even appears, comes very close to us and strolls calmly past us. It heads straight for the chicken coop. We continue towards Piz Danis. It already towers impressively in front of us. From a certain perspective, it even looks a bit like the Matterhorn. To get up there, however, we first have to squeeze past a herd of cows that are blocking the way. They cross the hiking trail very leisurely and look at us curiously. Then it gets steeper. We soon reach the key point of the tour. Below the summit there are a few meters to overcome that are somewhat exposed. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are important here. However, this section is well secured. There is even a wire rope to hold on to. This makes it easy to pull yourself up. At Piz Danis we then have a sensational view. The 360-degree view lets us see as far as Flims-Laax, we see the Rhine Gorge and on the other side we can see Lenzerheide next to the Heidsee. Behind it the Parpaner Rothorn and the Lenzerhorn tower. We continue over the narrow ridge to the third summit of the day. We still want to go to the Stätzerhorn and that is already impressively in front of us. The path feels even more scenic, even though I didn't think that was still possible. Then the last 200 meters uphill follow. But they almost fly by. We even see a few marmots. And suddenly we are at the top. At the highest point of our tour. Welcome to the Stätzerhorn. The view is simply gigantic. I don't remember the tour being so beautiful. It is even better than I remembered it. From here you could even follow the ridge further and hike to Chur in four hours. For us, however, we are now heading towards the panorama cable car. We want to take the gondola down comfortably. So we only have to descend the first few meters through a steep scree field and then hike a few more meters down a comfortable hiking trail, then we are already sitting in the gondola and zooming to Churwalden. We return to the starting point by post bus, i.e. by bus. We then discovered a kind of insider tip. If you climb from Lenzerheide towards Alp Sanaspans, you can hike to the Sanaspans waterfall of the same name. It looks super spectacular. And you can get really close. The climb takes another hour or so. If you liked the video, we look forward to a thumbs up and please remember to subscribe so you don't miss anything in the future. Thanks for watching & see you next time. :)
