Filippiada - Platanakia via the National Road E-951 of Ioannina - Arta. The journey starts at the Filippiada bus station of KTEL Preveza. Along the route we will pass by the ruins of the Panaghia Pantanassa Palaiochristian Church, as well as close to the ruins of the Roman Aqueduct near Aghios Georgios village. The second part of our trip will end at the Platanakia* Restaurant, in Terovon, Ioannina; the oldest restaurant in continuous operation in the entire route from Ioannina to Preveza and Arta, which was established in 1928. Although in recent years it operates seasonally, from June to September, it is still the oldest and gave its name to the Valley of Platanakia , which, before 1928, was simply known as the southern part of the Zeta Valley. *The name means place with lots of small platanus/sicamore trees The second part of the route from Arta to Ioannina. The second part of our journey will end at Platanakia Restaurant, which is the oldest restaurant in continuous operation along the entire route from Ioannina to Preveza and Arta, founded in 1928.
