In this video we take a look at the Battle of Kursk, the largest tank battle on the Eastern Front of World War II. The battle took place in July 1943 between Germany and the Soviet Union and became a decisive confrontation in the course of the war. The video tells how both sides prepared and planned this momentous battle. Germany's Operation Citadel (Operation Citadel) was its last major offensive on the Eastern Front, the plan's objective was to encircle and isolate five Soviet armies in the Kursk salient.
