She is married to the most popular man in the country, but you will never come across her posts like "#husband, #peace, #love's bottom" on social media. She does not make sensational statements out of the blue. Today I will tell you about Başak Dizier Tatlıtuğ, whom we know as the style consultant and wife of famous actor kıvanç Tatlıtuğ. Although we often see Dizer in the tabloid press, we don't know much about her. Gelin Başak Dizer was born on April 13, 1977 in Istanbul. She has always been interested in drawing since she was little. She even won first place in a drawing competition during her primary school years. This talent actually comes from the family. Her grandfather was a painter, her mother was an art teacher. In fact, her cousin was a designer. Başak Dizer actually wanted to go to Mimar Sinan University, but it didn't happen. She enrolled in the Public Relations Department of Marmara University. After graduating, she studied design in London and then returned to Istanbul. She earned certificates from the Fashion Design Department of Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul. She worked as an assistant and designer. Her career in the fashion sector started at Vakko. She was a men's fashion designer assistant. She also had the opportunity to work with Vitali Hakko. Afterwards, I started making men's collections at Bilsar Tekstil. After working as a designer for six years, her paths crossed with Deniz (Marşan). And they made new beginnings. If someone who doesn’t know them (for example a tourist) sees Başak Dizer and Deniz Marşan on the streets of Nişantaşı, they can understand in two seconds what field they work in: fashion. When you see these two very nice and cool women, your eyes inevitably catch their clothes and accessories. In 2008, they founded a styling and style consultancy company with Deniz and their careers started to move towards a completely different point. The two partners made their names known by styling the series Aşk-ı Memnu. In fact, when they were offered Aşk-ı Memnu, they didn’t like it at first. They thought, what series? But this was the turning point in their careers. In an interview with Episode Magazine, Başak Dizer said: There was no style consultancy sector. Production started the first month. Deniz and I went to Kerem Çatay and said, “Can you do a fashion program for us?” He said, “Never mind the fashion program, let me suggest you another project. It will be better than the program, and you will be more known.” At first, he had already counted the actors, we didn’t even know them. We said, “Why is it necessary, it can’t be done, it’s too difficult” at first. Then, when Kerem spoke so assertively, we wanted to try it. After all, we knew the system, brands didn’t want to be sponsors, they didn’t give us their clothes. They give us one day to collect the costumes. If the script comes today, we have one day to prepare the clothes. They start shooting the next morning. They had become able to style three TV series, plays and celebrities at the same time. They founded Room, which provides consultancy and showroom services, in 2013. Başak Dizer had brought together Turkish designers under the same roof with Room Encouragement and had signed under a pleasant project. Finally, they created a concept that combines fashion and entertainment with Room+Rumours, which is rarely seen. They thought, “How great it would be if we could sell the designers’ products, have a showroom and a small cafe.” When they founded Room Encouragement, the foundations of the current formation were laid. They opened Room + Rumours as an extension of Room Showroom. They wanted to have a store as well. They mostly featured designs by Turkish designers. This was a formation that had a sales area ranging from men's and women's accessories, clothing to music, books and art within the concept store. In an interview with Mag magazine, fashion was just a hobby and an area of interest for me. I am one of the lucky ones who can turn my hobby into a professional job. Fashion, especially in our country, is considered a luxury and is definitely not a must, it is just to add some color to our lives. We should not take it too seriously. #başakdizer #kıvançtatlıtuğ #celebrities
