The Government of President Patrice TALON is continuing its commitment to clean up and develop the living environment of the people of Benin. This is demonstrated by the work on phase B of the asphalting project currently underway. Cotonou is one of the six municipalities affected by the said work. In this city, the asphalting project reinforces other achievements to make the Fidjrossè urban area attractive and appealing. Fidjrossè and Togbin are in fact areas at the heart of tourist projects aimed at enhancing the beaches and developing hotel and leisure infrastructure. The installation of seaside promenades, parks and tourist complexes will stimulate local tourism and create jobs in the sector. These projects aim to make the area an attractive space for visitors and to boost the local, and even Beninese, economy. Thus, lot 3B bis of phase B of the asphalting project concerns the entire Fidjrossè/Togbin area subdivided into 134 streets included in the asphalting project. Which makes a total length of 37.8 km. To better appreciate the scale of the work, it should be understood that the Fidjrossè/Togbin area is subdivided into 3 zones, namely: zone 1, zone 2 and zone 3. Zone 1 concerns all 34 streets surrounding the National Psychiatric Hospital Center of Cotonou in Jacquot. As for zone 2, it concerns Fidjrossè center. In other words, the entire right side of the Route des Pêches at the edge of the street called HOUDOU Ali. In this core, there are a total of 53 streets, 4 of which have already been started. Zone 3 concerns the locality of Togbin and has 47 streets for which the execution studies have already been completed. To date, 38 streets are under construction for a length of 9.8 km. The sanitation stage completed, place for the base layer stages, laying of road edges and surfacing. The 134 streets targeted in this phase will be fully asphalted. There will be no paved streets inside. The roads will be asphalted and the sidewalks will receive paving stones. The HNRB company supervised by the CECO-BTP Consulting Engineer's office is responsible for giving substance to this dream. Should it be recalled that in the Fidjrossè and Togbin area, the establishment of several infrastructures outside of road works is planned? In particular, social infrastructures such as modern schools and health centers. Projects which, once completed, will provide solutions to the growing needs of the local population in terms of education and local health care. Ultimately, the inhabitants of these neighborhoods will have easy access to quality educational and health services. At the end of the work, the Fidjrossè neighborhood will no longer be the same. The area will enter another dynamic for the pride of the Beninese. The asphalting project in the city of Cotonou is part of the Government's clear desire to provide the city with modern roads, works which aim to relieve congestion on the main roads and improve access to peripheral districts, especially during rainy periods.
