This story begins with Oliver Queen, a man without responsibilities, a millionaire who is determined to spend his money on parties and luxury. His girlfriend is called Laurel Lance, and she is a law student. Laurel has a sister called Sara. And that day, Oliver decided to go on a private cruise with his father Robert Queen. But that day, Oliver didn't take his girlfriend, but her sister instead. So Sara and Oliver went on a cruise with their forbidden romance. But the ship was sabotaged by Robert's partners and this was done so that they would lose their lives in the process. But the accident didn't go as planned by the partners, since Robert and Oliver survived. During the shipwreck, as the ship sank, Oliver, who was in bed with Sara, tried to save her, but the force of the water entering the place ended up separating the two. Sara was thrown in an opposite direction and far away, but she survived. Oliver's father managed to climb into a lifeboat and soon rescued his son from the sea. After some time adrift, Robert Queen gives a mysterious notebook to his son and takes his own life. He tells his son that he was not the man he knew, but rather another kind of person. He also asks Oliver to find a way to fix the mistakes he made. And so he shoots the employee who was in the boat and then himself. The boat encountered rough waters, and soon an island appeared in the middle of the sea smoke. That was Lian Yu Island, and its name means purgatory. And it is located in the East China Sea. And when he arrives on the island as a castaway, Oliver is shot with an arrow. Then, Yao Fei (Jao Fei) appears, a master of martial arts and master of archery. He is the father of two twin sisters named Shado and Mei. Yao Fei was imprisoned on the island because he was considered a highly dangerous criminal. And Yao Fei will help the spoiled Oliver Queen survive on an island, in addition to teaching him everything about how to fight to live in that hostile place. At first, Oliver believed he was on an uninhabited island, but he soon discovered that there were many soldiers, criminals, and terrorists living there. Among them was Edward Fyers, a mercenary hired to destabilize the Chinese economy. His mission was to shoot down an aircraft that was about to pass over the island, but his real mission was to eliminate one of the leaders of the Chinese triad who was on the plane, Chien Na Wei. Who is one of the main members of the Chinese Triad. But not even Fyers knew what his real mission was. And Yao Fei was taken to the island to be framed as the one who shot down the plane. On that island was also one of Yao Fei's daughters, her name was Shado, and another important member who was on that island was Slade Wilson. Meanwhile, Sara miraculously saves herself and joins an unlikely group, a slave ship that was near the island. Back on the island where Oliver was, he is soon captured by Fyers and even though he is tortured, he refuses to tell where Yao Fei is. But it was all in vain, because Yao Fei, upon learning that his daughter Shado had been captured, decided to turn himself in... Even so, Oliver managed to escape his captivity and then met Slade Wilson for the first time. Seeing that Oliver was a weak, irresponsible boy with no skills, Slade decided to train him so that he would become strong and capable.
