The Käsivarre hike 2021 was a hike where you spent a week in great scenery in Käsivarre and the Käsivarre Wilderness area. We camped for two nights on the shore of Termisjärvi next to the hut. We passed through Salmivaara and returned to the camp via the peaks of Salmivaara. On the third day, we camped on the slope of Termisvaara, where we set up camp. From here, we continued to the mouth of Termis, where we admired wonderful views. After that, we went to the top and returned to the camp through the fence. We dismantled the camp and moved to the top of Ailakkavaara, where we camped, after which we went to Ailakkapahta to admire the wonderful views. From Ailakkavaara, we were dropped at the corners of Tsahkaljärvi and headed up to Iso-Jehkas from its eastern end. The climb was tough, but very rewarding. Iso-Jehkas had a lot of German war debris and blown-up dugouts. We also visited the wonderful views of Korkea-Jehkas. Finally, we dropped down through the homes of Saanajärvi to Kilpisjärvi. The food was self-dried roast beef and minced meat, asparagus, spring onions, kidney beans, salad cheese, and crushed tomatoes. In addition, brown rice, mash powder and egg powder, as well as butter and olive oil. The bread this time was Rosten's seed nibblers. Dry meat, Näkkäri and omelette were the tastiest meals of the trip. The coffee was instant coffee and cream powder. A few tea bags and a cocoa bag. An absolutely amazing trip and great scenery. The weather at the beginning was accompanied by a very strong wind, even with a temperature of less than 5 degrees. Finally, we hiked in almost calm air, almost in the heat.
