About :

A monument, one of the great works of choral symphony, a ruin. For over ninety minutes, the Czech national composer demands everything from all participants in his Opus 58. In terms of intonation, rhythm and design, there is no opportunity to rest for an hour and a half, not a moment to lean back, full power for ten movements. Annabelle Heinen/soprano, Ayaka Igarashi/alto, Chen Li/tenor, Sebastian Seitz/bass, the Cologne Chamber Symphony Orchestra with concertmaster Lisa Maria Schumann and the Singgemeinschaft Birk as the project choir took on this huge task with great skill under the overall musical direction of music director Rolf Pohle. The performance took place on All Souls' Day 2024 in the Siegburg church of St. Anno, and Gunnar Schielke was the recording director.
