Ante Marinović, a Croat from Bruška. Since the spring of 1991, he was a member of the reserve police. During the attack on Bruška, in the evening of December 21, 1991. year, he was in his house with his wife Ljilja Marinović and children Jura and Donja, brother Dušan, father Rok, uncle Peter Marinović, grandfather as well as a friend of Serbian nationality, Sveta Drač, a member of the JNA with whom he played cards that evening, and his children . Around eight o'clock in the evening, members of the Krajina Militia broke into their house, took the men outside, lined them up against the wall and shot them. Ante Marinović was wounded in seven places and fell unconscious, while Roko, Dušan and Petar Marinović and Svetozar Drača were killed. When he regained consciousness after a short time, Ante Marinović went through the forest to the village of Kalanjeve Draga, to his relatives who called an ambulance. He was taken to the hospital in Benkovac, where he was bandaged, and then to the hospital in Knin, where he was kept for treatment for the next ten days. When he was released from the hospital, he went to his wife in the village of Dobropoljce, and then to his sister in Vrebac.
