Timeline for the 4th Altmühltal Cycle Path stage Another episode of our cycle tour through the beautiful Altmühltal. From the Almosmühle near the medieval bridge in Pfünz we drive to Inching and Walting. There we visit the last remaining tithe barn in the Altmühltal from the 15th century at Gut Moierhof. Pfalzpaint impressed us very much with its beautiful baroque church. We will remember the nice encounter and the pleasant conversation with Theresia, the sexton's daughter-in-law. The journey continues along one of the oldest nature reserves in Bavaria, the Gungoldinger Wacholderheide. A particular eye-catcher is the rock massif that rises steeply above the town of Arnsberg, on which the Arnsberg castle ruins stand. The medieval Kipfenberg Castle greets you from afar from the 430 m high dolomite rock. Above the castle is the geographical center of Bavaria. We don't want to miss this detour. The drive up the steep serpentine road is impressive. Melanie and Sven didn't shy away from the steep climb either. It just so happened that we should meet at this striking place. We were very happy about the nice chat. From Ilbing we go to Kinding, past the Kratzmühle leisure complex and arrive in Beilngries. Here, right on the Altmühl, is the Naturama campsite with Bavaria's first barrel hotel. Since 2016, you can spend the night here in sleeping barrels. This idea has since been adopted by many campsites. From Beilngries you can take a nice detour to the medieval town of Berching. We'll tell you about that and the onward journey through the beautiful Altmühl Valley in the next video. ????
