The daughter studied abroad in an area famous for Japan's hot springs. Thanks to this, the mother and daughter traveled to Japan and fell in love with the charm of traditional inns, or ryokans. The mother and daughter joined forces to build a house with the sensibility of a Japanese ryokan in the neighborhood where the mother's maternal grandmother's house was located. The traditional Korean paper-like kitchen door perfectly recreates the feeling of opening a door at a Japanese ryokan. My mother's favorite space is the kitchen with a view of the green yard. It was awkward at first because it was different from the kitchen I had imagined, but it has everything I need even though it is simple, so now it has become a space where the family can rest.
