In today's @amarmaternidade, we're going to tell the beautiful story of Camila (@camilalimaresende), who is the mother of little Pietra (4 years old). At the end of 2011, she noticed a hematoma on her breast and in a little less than a month, after undergoing some tests, she was diagnosed with leukemia. Through Camila's aunt, she was able to have an appointment with Dr. Vânia Hungria (a leukemia specialist in Brazil), who referred her to Santa Casa where she received treatment. In 18 months, Camila received the news that her leukemia had cleared, but she would need to continue taking medication. After this struggle, Camila and her husband decided to adopt a child. After being approved, they received a call from the forum, informing them that there was a girl on the couple's profile and they went to meet Pietra. She was born 6 months old, weighing less than 1 kg and with more than 25 medical problems.
