Black Memory Cultural Circles: Activist Circle In this Activist Circle meeting, we bring Professor Edson Cardoso, an activist in the black movement since the 1970s, for an impactful conversation about memory and the anti-racist struggle. With mediation by Natália Neris, coordinator of the political advocacy area at Casa Sueli Carneiro, the dialogue explored the appreciation of the stories of people not officially recognized and the importance of documenting and preserving the history of the black movement. Edson shared reflections on diversity within the black community, addressing issues related to social classes and geographic origins, in addition to highlighting the importance of connecting these narratives to his own family history.
