At the joint initiative of Bernard Stirn, Permanent Secretary of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences, in conjunction with the Institut de France, and Christophe Kerrero, Rector of the Île-de-France Academic Region and Rector of the Paris Academy, a series of conferences and debates will once again bring together at the Sorbonne students from the Paris, Créteil and Versailles academies around an academic on themes included in the program. Director of the office of Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, Minister of the Economy and Finance, Director of the Treasury, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Inspector General of Finance: Jacques de Larosière has held many major positions at the heart of public economic decision-making. In 1987, he became Governor of the Banque de France, a position he held until 1993. After leaving this position, he was entrusted with the presidency of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
