About :

Quba Mosque is the first mosque built in Islam, and the first mosque built in Medina in terms of priority, as the Grand Mosque was the first house established for people, and Quba Mosque was the first mosque built by Muslims. It is also the largest mosque in Medina after the Prophet's Mosque. The mosque is located to the south of Medina. The mosque was built by the Prophet Muhammad when he migrated from Mecca to Medina. Muslims after him took care of the mosque's construction during the past eras. It was renovated by Uthman bin Affan, then Omar bin Abdul Aziz during the reign of Al-Walid bin Abdul Malik. The caliphs who came after them expanded and renovated its construction. Sultan Qaitbay expanded it, followed by the Ottoman Sultan Mahmoud II and his son Sultan Abdul Majeed I. The last expansion was during the era of the Saudi state. Mount Uhud (with a damma on the alif and the ha) is a mountain overlooking Medina from the north. It was three and a half miles away from it before it was reached by urbanization. It is 4 km from the Prophet's Mosque. The mountain extends like a chain from east to west and leans north. Mount Uhud witnessed several events after the advent of Islam and has its religious status. Naming There are several opinions about why Mount Uhud was given this name: The first opinion says that the mountain was named this name because it is separate from the mountains and is surrounded by valleys and plains. The second opinion is that the mountain was named Uhud after a man named Uhud from the Amalekites (the traditional early inhabitants of Medina) as Uhud moved to the mountain and inhabited it, so it was named after him. The third opinion says that the mountain was named this way because it symbolizes the oneness of God. Battle of Uhud The battlefield of Mount Uhud is the site of the Battle of Uhud between the Muslims and the Quraysh, which took place in the third year of the Hijra. The battle took place southwest of the mountain, near Mount Al-Rumaat. Seventy companions were killed in that battle, including Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib, the uncle of the Prophet Muhammad, because the archers left the mountain and the Quraysh army surrounded them from behind. King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an, in Medina, is the largest printing press in the world for printing the Qur’an. It is one of the landmarks provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serve Islam and Muslims around the world. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd bin Abdulaziz, laid the foundation stone for the complex in 1403 AH and opened it in 1405 AH. The production capacity of the complex is 18 million copies annually, distributed between complete copies of the Qur’an, parts, translations, recordings, books on the sciences of the Qur’an, and others. It has produced more than 361 editions and 300 million copies until 2019. The complex conducts continuous studies and research to serve the Qur’an and Sunnah and includes the latest printing technologies in the world. Al-Ghamama Mosque (prayer place) is located on the site where the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, performed the Eid prayer in Medina. This place was the last place where the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, performed the Eid prayer in 631 AD. The Prophet also performed the funeral prayer in absentia for the Negus. Prayers are still performed there despite its proximity to the Prophet’s Mosque. It is considered one of the historical and archaeological mosques in Medina. Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque is considered one of the places where the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, prayed the Eid prayer. It is likely to be called by this name because our master Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, used to pray the Eid prayer in this place during his caliphate. This mosque is located near the beginning of Al-Manakhah Street, to the west of Al-Ghamama Mosque, and nothing separates the two mosques except the main road. Al-Siddiq Mosque, may God be pleased with him, is in the neighborhood called Al-Aridah, which used to be Al-Aridhi Garden. The mosque is located within a spacious square that includes the two mosques, Al-Ghamama Mosque and Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque, may God be pleased with him. The mosque was not built during the reign of our master Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, but it was a place for Eid prayers. During the reign of Omar bin Abdul Aziz, may God be pleased with him, in Medina, the mosque was built and renovated by the Ottoman Sultan Mahmud II in 1254 AH. The eastern wall was covered with black stone, and the dome and minaret were painted white from the outside. The white and black colors were combined in the exterior paint of the mosque, and this is consistent with the exterior paint of Al-Ghamama Mosque, which shows the general shape of the two mosques in beautiful harmony in the middle of a spacious square. Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Mosque is considered one of the historical mosques in Medina. Its location: The mosque is located in the southwestern side of the Prophet's Mosque, 455 meters from the expansion building, and about 133 meters from Al-Ghamama Mosque. This mosque is located at the intersection of Quba Street with Al-Anbariyah Street, on the left of those heading from Medina to Quba. Omar Mosque, may God be pleased with him, overlooks Quba Road from the west, while it overlooks Al-Ghamama Mosque Square from the north. The location of the mosque was before the expansion of the urban area in Medina. It overlooks the eastern edge of Wadi Bathaan, to the south of Al-Ghamama Mosque, with a slight deviation towards the southwest.
