Pleszew - a city in the Wielkopolska Province, in the Kalisz Region, on the Kalisz Upland, on the Ner, the seat of the Pleszew County and the Pleszew Commune. The first mentions of the city, which currently has 20,000 inhabitants, come from 1283, when the Duke of Kalisz and Poznań Przemysł II confirmed city rights in a diploma submitting the civitas of Plessov to the Kalisz jurisdiction. Since 1314, Pleszew was located in the Kalisz Province and was a private city, and the first known owner was recorded in 1395. In the Middle Ages, it became a medium-sized city, which was confirmed by the obligation to send 12 foot soldiers to the Malbork expedition in 1458. The privilege of King John Albert from 1493 allowed for weekly markets and two fairs a year: on St. Florian's Day (4 May) and St. John the Baptist's Day (29 August). The film shows the most important historical places and buildings in Pleszew, most of which were built in the 19th and early 20th centuries, as a great fire in 1806 destroyed the town hall, church and a significant part of the town's buildings. Commentary based on the website http://pleszew.pl/zabytki/, other internet sources and my own memories from childhood and adolescence. Music - Trio Con Brio, Wojciech Czemplik and Mike.D.
