However, remodeling old houses requires more human hands than machines, making it more difficult than building new houses. Extreme Jobs visits the site where efforts are being made to beautifully remodel old, uncomfortable, and dirty old houses. Breathing new life into old country houses! Remodeling farmhouses Everyone has probably dreamed of having their own space at least once. However, the reality is that city life makes it difficult to have a house of their own. In a village in Gongju, there is a house where you can remodel your own custom house at a lower cost than building new. That is a 70-year-old farmhouse made of dirt. Although the house looks old because it contains traces of time, it is actually a space where infinite change is possible. However, the process of discovering the hidden gems in that old space is not easy. Demolishing the walls of a farmhouse made of straw and soil is a continuous battle against old dust. Finishing the ceiling, which involves shooting urethane foam to level it, applying cement on top of it, and then painting it with water, is difficult and requires the involvement of a veteran worker with 47 years of experience. The ceiling is finished with white cement to preserve the charm of the rafters and wooden pillars. Due to the nature of old houses, it is essential to check the incline every time because it is not level. Since the standards do not match those of the materials that are being released today, the length must be measured, cut, and adjusted every time a piece of wood is attached.
