About :

Ikarus 263 with registration number GZF-217 was taken out of service by Volánbusz on March 24, 2021. Csaba Balogh, the bus driver of the company, worked with it for nearly 7 years at the plant in Sopron, and bought it immediately after it was scrapped. The 1998 vehicle left Volánbusz's premises in Sopron for good in February 2022, and is now resting on the property of its new owner, where it will serve as the home of a huge matchbox collection in the future. In the video series "The New Life of an Ikarus" by gyoribuszok.hu, Ikarus are presented that once served Volán of the Kisalföld and his legal successors and were preserved for posterity.
