Mirosław Romański talks about one of the most popular passenger locomotives running on Polish tracks, EP09, commonly called the Nine and Epoka. The vehicle, as in the late 80s and 90s, used many modern solutions and components not found in other locomotives. Despite this, the vehicle was characterized by a relatively high failure rate, which was associated with a series of experiments, design corrections and changes during the operation and production of individual units.
