Around 1,000 plant species have been recorded in Vanoise. Depending on the level where they are located, they use different means of adaptation to compensate for weather conditions and the specificities of the environment. 200 plant species are monitored. Artico-alpine plants are relatively well represented in Vanoise. As glacial relics, they will be interesting indicators of global warming.
