I decided to go spend some quality time with my friend Petter and his group of clients in Urho Kekkonen National Park. It was a January ski hike during which we skied over 90 km. We set off from Kiilopää and our goal was to ski to Luirojärvi where we would bathe in a wilderness sauna. From the Luirojärvi wilderness hut we would also summit the highest fell in the area, Sokosti. There was a lot of snow and the snow conditions were mostly weak. Most of us had fell skis and they did just fine. Simo, however, had 3-meter forest skis and they were able to once again show their superiority over fell skis in the deep snow 👏 Thanks to Petter and the other hiking buddies for a really nice hike.
