A group of high school graduates lose their way during a snowstorm in the Bieszczady Mountains. Seeking shelter in a cottage standing on the side of the road, they make a macabre discovery. In one of the rooms, they find thirty wooden boxes containing hundreds of bones and notebooks describing the last weeks of each victim's life. The case is led by Deputy Commissioner Robert Lew. However, the investigation turns out to be more difficult than he expected. The age of some of the bones and the chemicals they were treated with make it difficult to examine them. Determining the identity of the victims also becomes a problem. Investigators are unable to link the found remains to any open cases. Everything indicates that the murderer committed crimes for several decades that no one noticed... The case arouses widespread social indignation and leads to mass protests. The jobs of many important people, both in the Police, the Government and the Prosecutor's Office, begin to depend on its solution. #BOOK
