Hello everyone, thank you for your many comments. Many of you have asked me for advice on practicing Street photography in overcast weather, here is a first video where I share 5 tips that I use on a daily basis in overcast weather. Going out in overcast weather to take street photos may seem counterintuitive, but this weather condition actually offers many advantages for photographers. Here is why it is interesting to brave the gray sky. Advantages of photography in overcast weather Diffuse and soft light One of the main advantages of a cloudy sky is the quality of the light. Clouds act as a natural diffuser, softening contrasts and reducing the harsh shadows that are often encountered on sunny days. This allows for more balanced and flattering images, particularly for portraits and street scenes where details are essential. Constant time for composition Unlike the golden hours where light changes quickly, overcast days offer relatively constant brightness throughout the day. This allows photographers to take their time composing their images without the pressure of fading light.] This tranquility is ideal for experimenting with different compositions and angles. Unique Ambiance Overcast weather can also create a special atmosphere that enriches photos. Cloudy days can give a melancholic or dramatic tone to images, which can be very captivating for the viewer. In addition, elements like fog or rain add a poetic dimension to your shots.
