For the first time since the end of the Cold War, we must truly fear for our survival, and the need for a unified response has never been more urgent: this is what Mario Draghi says after a year of preparing a report on the competitiveness of the European Union. There is no point in pretending not to notice that the European Union is becoming increasingly uncompetitive and that we are losing the battle with the US and China. It does no good if we turn a blind eye to the fact that we will need millions of foreign workers, but we have no idea and no way to regulate migration. Gregor Trebušak spoke with the president of the first Slovenian government, Lojzet Peterlet, entrepreneur Igor Akrapovič and economist Mojmir Mrak.
