In today's video, Dr. Marcelo will share three simple tips to help you recover movement in your ankle after removing your orthopedic boot. First tip: Apply an ice pack for 20 minutes, 4 to 5 times a day if your ankle is very swollen. Second tip: This is called passive ankle movement, and the goal of this exercise is to help you recover lost movement. Third tip: This is an exercise to help unlock your ankle and also help you with that shocking sensation you feel when you start walking. It is important that your orthopedist has already cleared you to move your ankle and remove the Robofoot.
