In the midnight hour, on May 6, 1991, the commander of the 4th Corps of the JNA, Major General Milovan Zorc, received a secret dispatch from the General Staff in Belgrade, in which he was ordered to move part of the 10th Armored Mechanized Brigade from Mostar and join it with the rest of tank units in Croatia in Sinj. A long column of tanks equipped with live grenades and conscript soldiers, who for the first time during their military service, receive rifles and pistols with live bullets in the early morning of May 7, 1991, leaves Mostar for Sinj. At the 15th kilometer from Mostar, the tank column encountered a multi-kilometer barricade made up of citizens and heavy trucks and personal vehicles. Major General Milovan Zorc informs the JNA command in Belgrade that the civilians have stopped the column. While the verbal conflicts continue, passing by in the chain of command of the JNA, the terrified soldiers in tanks, made up of all the peoples of the former Yugoslavia, who themselves do not know where and why they are actually going with live ammunition, receive information that they will have to use firearms for the first time . Just 30 meters away in front of the tank barrels, there are people standing bare-handed, determined to return the armored brigade back to the barracks in Mostar. For the first time, generals, colonels of the former JNA and political officials of the SFRY present their testimonies and feelings. Their stories are told by ordinary citizens, JNA soldiers, their commanders, political officials, priests, policemen... The film shows all the complexity of the situation that prevailed. Through their statements, you can see the whole spectrum of problems, conflicts with superiors, with ordinary protestors who, under great adrenaline, were ready to leave their lives under tank tracks. The film goes into the intimacy of people in bureaucratic offices, into the souls of commanders, soldiers, and ordinary citizens! Through dramatized scenes, authentic shots, statements, radio and newspaper reports, the film "3 Days" shows the chaos, uncertainty, and fears that prevailed among people on both sides of the barricade before the breakup of Yugoslavia.
