Hey everyone, In this video we take you on an unforgettable hike in the West Harz! Our penultimate tour on the way to becoming the Harz Hiking Emperor began in the small but charming resort of Riefensbeek-Kamschlacken, which is known as the smallest state-recognized resort in the Harz near Osterode, and took us 20 km in the footsteps of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. On our journey through the impressive nature of the Harz National Park, we achieved three beautiful Harz Hiking Badge stamps: HWN 147 Eleonoreblick: This stamp took us to a breathtaking viewpoint that offers fantastic views of the surrounding landscape. From here we saw the valley and the Harz in all its glory - a real highlight of the tour! HWN 144 Hanskühnenburg: The Hanskühnenburg is a historic place where Johann Wolfgang von Goethe stayed during his travels. Although not a castle ruin, as is often wrongly assumed, there is a cozy restaurant here that invites hikers to take a rest. Unfortunately it was closed on the day we were hiking, but the place itself is still a nice place for a little break. Anyone who loves Goethe's travels through the Harz will appreciate this place all the more, as it has a direct connection to one of Germany's greatest poets. HWN 143 Köte Schindelkopf: The last stamp took us to Köte Schindelkopf, a stamping point that lies somewhat unspectacularly between the hills. There is no wide view here, but the place has its own charm, and anyone who loves a bit of adventure can also find a geocache here - a nice challenge for geocaching fans! The hike was a real highlight despite the cool temperatures - the sun was shining and transformed the landscape into a true paradise. This tour not only rewarded us with spectacular views, but also with a piece of history and nature that is an insider tip. The Harz is full of surprises and this hike was definitely one of the most beautiful we have ever done!
