From the Julius Payer refuge, ascend to the Ortles q. 3,905 m. the highest peak in all the Alps east of the Bernina via the normal route that ascends from the North. The itinerary is initially on a rocky ridge that leads to the glacier that covers the upper part of the mountain up to the summit.
