Did IKEA kill the furniture market? 🛋️📉Do you know what Celso’s greatest sacrifice was? 💪🔥Are luxury brands more status than quality? 💎🤷Do you know what investments Celso is making in Real Estate? 🏢💰Do we have a lack of labor in Portugal?👷♂️📉 Celso Lascasas, founder of Laskasas, began his career as a carpenter's apprentice at the age of 14 in his uncle's small workshop. Working hard until he was 21, he learned the art of carpentry and, after gaining experience in a medium-sized company, he gathered resources to open his first buying and selling store in Ermesinde at the age of 28. The first years were difficult, with Celso reinvesting almost all of his profits in communication. A decisive moment was the opening of the store in Lisbon, which quickly doubled the company's revenue, despite the risks involved. Laskasas, founded in 2004 by Celso Lascasas, is a Portuguese furniture company that produces handmade pieces in its factory in Porto. The brand stands out for its innovative design that avoids traditional patterns and offers customization in different materials, ensuring that each piece reflects the personality of its customers. With more than 400 employees and 40 physical spaces around the world, Laskasas is today one of the largest Portuguese furniture groups. The group's production includes the brands Domkapa, specialized in upholstery and detailed sewing, and Serralux, focused on artistic and high-precision metalwork. Celso wants to make Laskasas one of the 50 best furniture brands in Europe and increase its international market share to more than 50%. He values legacy and reputation and wants his children to be proud of the family name.
