Anna Trökes is a yoga teacher and has been teaching yoga since 1974 and is the author of more than 30 yoga publications. Since 1984 she has been leading yoga teacher training courses for the BDY (Professional Association of German Yoga Teachers) and teaches the subjects Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy, medical basics as well as lesson planning and speech training for yoga teachers. Anna is one of the absolute veterans of the German yoga scene and I was very happy and honored that she took time out of her busy schedule for this interview. In this podcast we talk about important topics, such as how we can practice sustainability as yogis, how we can activate our self-healing powers with yoga and mindfulness, and how yoga can help with anxiety and depression. Anna takes us on a journey through how yoga has developed and changed in Germany over the last 40 years. She tells us honestly and authentically how she has integrated her personal yoga practice from the mat into her everyday life and how her favorite yoga practice today is walking her white German Shepherd dog. Look forward to this episode full of honesty, wisdom and heart-touching moments. Find more information about Anna Trökes, her retreats and training courses at: https://prana-yogaschule.de
