Who wakes up the Sun? “The story I'm going to tell now I heard from my grandmother while she was washing clothes.” - Veronica Pinheiro In the twelfth episode of the Sol cycle, Veronica Pinheiro tells about her childhood and a story she heard from her grandmother about the Sun, in an ancient time, when the star had not yet risen to the heavens. Veronica also talks about the role of children in this narrative and sings a song to wake up the Sun. The SOL cycle is made up of 17 narratives published every Wednesday on our YouTube channel, in the languages Hatxã Kuï, Tukano, Nheengatu, Maxakali, Guarani or Portuguese. Presenting different views on the Sun, the cycle interweaves indigenous memories and knowledge with perspectives from astronomy, philosophy, astrology, literature and other areas of knowledge. On Wednesdays, we also publish a notebook related to each episode on our website: www.selvagemciclo.com.br/cadernos Follow our networks and our channel to find out about the cycle's releases!
