St. Leonhard is the patron saint of farmers and livestock, especially horses, stables, stable hands, carters and blacksmiths. He is particularly venerated in Tyrol, Salzburg and southern Germany. For the 11th time, the Noriker Breeders' Association Wilder Kaiser & Surrounding Areas has invited people to the Leonhardi Ride in Oberndorf in Tyrol! The BMK Oberndorf leads the Leonhardi riders' entourage and the spruced-up teams to the village square. After the village circuit via the hamlet of Eberhartling, the riders stop in front of the church. Co-operator Rupert Santner says the blessing over the horses, their owners and the festival visitors. BM Hans Schweigkofler welcomes the participants of the 11th Oberndorf Leonhardi Ride and is pleased about the large number of visitors. The participants then complete a short circuit around two farms in the village center and are introduced individually.
