On May 29, 2021, I boarded a kayak in Arkhangelsk and set off for Murmansk, across the White and Barents Seas. I lived in abandoned fishermen's huts and a tent, swam across a 48 km wide strait in the throat of the White Sea, chased bears, met whales and belugas, got caught in a two-day hurricane in the tundra, climbed hills, spent the night in a cave, found ancient stone labyrinths, passed through the legendary Cape Svyatoy Nos to go around the Kola Peninsula and after 1000 kilometers and 31 days reach Murmansk.
