Monday lesson from the first letter to the Corinthians [1] 30-31, on 14/10/2024, speaker Sotiris Stergios ---------------------- ---------------------- Excerpts from the Bible: (1 Cor. 1:30) But you are of him in Christ Jesus, who is born to us wisdom from God , righteousness te and sanctification and redemption; (1 Cor. 1:31) so that, as it is written, Let him who boasts in the Lord boast. (1 Cor. 1:28) and the rude of the world and the weak God chose, and the non-beings, to abolish the beings, (1 Cor. 4:7) Because they distinguish you from the other? and what do you have that you did not receive, and if you did receive, what do you boast that you did not receive? (Phil. 2:3) doing nothing out of envy or vanity, but in humility considering others superior to themselves. (Ps. 49:6) Those who hope in their goods and boast in the multitude of their riches; (Rom. 3:19) But we find that what the law says it speaks to those under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped and let the whole world be subject to God, (Prov. 8:25) Before the mountains were founded, before the of hills, I was born; (Job 38:21) Do you know this, because then you were born? or because the number of your days is many? (Job 4:18) Behold, he does not trust in his servants, and in his angels he sees fault; (Rom. 5:16) And the gift is not like the condemnation done by a sinner, because the judgment is from him One was made in condemnation of many, and the gift of many sins was made to you justice. (Rom. 5:17) For although through the sin of one death reigned through one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the one Jesus Christ. (Rom. 5:18) So as by one sin condemnation came to all men, so by one righteousness came to all men righteousness unto life. (2 Cor. 5:21) because we made the unknown sin sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God through him. (Is. 33:6) Wisdom and knowledge will be the confirmation of your times and the saving power: the fear of the Lord, this is his treasure. (Is. 47:10) because you were encouraged in your wickedness and said, no one sees me. Your wisdom and your knowledge have deceived you; and you have said in your heart, I am, and besides me there is none. (James 3:13) Who is wise and learned among you? let him show by good conduct the works of self in meekness of wisdom. (Gal. 3:27) because those of you who were baptized into Christ, you put on Christ. (Ps. 49:8) for the redemption of their soul is precious, and cannot be found everywhere, (Jer. 10:9) Silver hammered into plates was brought from Tarshish and gold from Uphaz, the work of a craftsman and the hands of a goldsmith; blue and purple are the their clothing; all these are the work of wise men. (Jer. 10:3) For the laws of the peoples are in vain, because they cut wood from the forest, the work of the mason's hands with the chisel. (Jer. 10:4) They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with nails and hammers, so that it does not move. (Jer. 10:5) They stand like phoenixes, but they do not speak; they have to struggle, because they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of these, for they cannot harm, nor is it possible for them to do good. (Job 12:20) He takes away the speech of the evil orators, and raises up the wisdom of the elders. --------------------------------------------- Amen
