In this video we can see how to repair an Acer Aspire 5920 series laptop that does not turn on, not due to a charger or power connector failure, the fault is in the motherboard more specifically in an SMD capacitor, the capacitor marked PC112 in the video we can see how to locate and replace it. LAPTOP SYMPTOMS It does not turn on, when you connect the charger the green light on the charger flashes but the laptop does not turn on, it does nothing. DIAGNOSIS Power supply failure due to a short circuit caused by a shorted capacitor on the motherboard. SOLUTION Identify the shorted capacitor and replace it with one with similar characteristics.
