On the island of Usedom on the Baltic Sea there is a largely single-track and non-electrified railway line, the Usedomer Bäderbahn. In the summer months, however, on Saturdays and Sundays, intercity trains also run from the Ruhr area via Berlin to Seebad Heringsdorf. I filmed such a train journey in July 2016 with the camera at the open window. You can see the train splitting in Züssow and the journey with a class 218 diesel locomotive across the island of Usedom, some of it in time-lapse and some at original speed. And of course, after arriving at Seebad Heringsdorf station, you can't miss the overview of the town and a walk to the beach, where the spray from the Baltic Sea blows around the pier.
