Climate change at the point of collision of facts and interests The Institute of Social Sciences of the Faculty of Humanities of Pannon University is organizing a conference within the framework of the sub-project "Research into the social aspects of climate change" of the "Climate Change Multidisciplinary National Laboratory" (RRF-2.3.1-21-2022-00014) project. "reality is not an enemy". Climate change is a natural reality that shows unavoidable facts, and a social reality with an equally unavoidable human face. There is no adaptation, no sustainable vision of the future is possible without an honest face-to-face with factual reality. On the ground of delusions, illusions, and misrepresentations, misty images of alternative realities become dominant, which either lead to faulty individual and social decisions, or – what is even worse – to no decisions, no action.
