Director: Jiří Vanýsek Starring: Michal Bumbálek, Miroslav Etzler, Tomáš Sagher, Petr Halberstadt, Tomáš Herfort, Jan Apolenař, Robert Tyleček, Vlasta Korec, Valérie Zawadská, Pavel Kunert, Igor Bareš, Stanislava Strobachová, Josef Polášek A young soldier, librarian by profession and a pacifist by nature, joins the border barracks to perform basic military service. Bullying reigns in the unit, quietly tolerated by the officers. Private Adam (T. Sagher) resists and physically attacks the head of the greasers (M. Etzler), but he has no chance and later ends up in the hospital. Private Banýr, an artistic blacksmith in civilian clothes, is even murdered by greasers. The librarian and the gypsy Aladar will become the main targets of bullying. The two escape together and stage an escape attempt across the border. Aladar is shot by the greasers and the librarian is detained by the border guards, but the whole group of greasers will be brought before the court
