About :

There are about 100 groups and sections for children and youth in Zhmerynka. On the Day of physical education and sports in Zhmeryntsi, on Miru Square, a solemn meeting of athletes from all branches of the State University of Sports, city sports federations, sections and circles, which popularize sports and a healthy lifestyle in our community, was held. The event began with a moment of silence and the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine performed by Natalya Skrymy-Kozlan. On behalf of the executive committee and the secretary of the city council, Vadym Kozhuhovskyi, the athletes, their coaches-mentors, physical culture and sports teachers were congratulated by Oksana Svystun, manager of affairs of the city executive committee. Representatives of various sports of the Zhmeryn community were presented with gifts, diplomas, and awards to applause. Halyna Varlakhova, consultant of the project "Strengthening the health of the community" of the Zhmeryn city-district organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine, wished good health to the residents of Zhmeryn. Acting Head of the Department of Youth and Sports, Olena Kovalska, in her welcoming speech, thanked the defenders for the opportunity to train children and play sports under a peaceful sky. On behalf of the Society, gifts were also handed over to young athletes and their mentors. With numerous medals and thematic sports uniforms for each type of sport, the pupils presented their branches, circles and sections. The loudest applause that day was given to the coaches.
