My dream came true! Every time someone asked me what my dream interview was, without hesitation I answered only one name - Zdeněk Svěrák. I consider his work, and especially the Jára Cimrman Theater, to be essential in my life, which is why I tried to arrange an interview with Mr. Svěrák several times over the years. Always unsuccessful. Zdenek Svěrák is 85 years old, and it's no wonder that he finds all the interviews, discussions, polls and questions that are constantly being asked annoying. He just wants to do what he likes. And above all to play theater. He also always rejected me with similar words, and even though I had the utmost respect for that, the desire to meet him during a joint conversation persisted in the back of my mind. Then in October 2019, when we filmed an interview with MiloŇ Čepelka at Antiquarian Kant Praha, which I still consider one of my most successful (mainly thanks to the fantastic Mr. Čepelka), MILOŇ ČEPELKA: • MiloŇ Čepelka from the Jára Cimrman Theater... I thought in the spirit of Cimrman continue and try to contact Zdenek Svěrak again. It took another two years of my obstinacy and deep renunciation, but it finally worked... 16.11.2021, in the foyer of Jára Cimrman's Žižkov Theater, two days before my twenty-sixth birthday, we finally filmed my dream interview. I tried to make it from the heart and, most importantly, not to ask the same question again... We talked not only about the Jára Cimrman Theater and legendary films (Vratné lahve, Na samote u lesa, Vesničko má středisková), but also about friendship, love and life at all...
